Pure Coconut Water

This is officially my favorite drink at the moment. Its pure coconut water in a bottle. Every time I watch the Survivor Series and somebody cracks open a coconut and drinks it, I wish I too was stranded with them... hmm it looks so thirst quenching and after trying this drink I believe, it is proven to be extremely thirst quenching.

The water comes only from the younger green coconuts. This fast hydrating drink filled with electrolytes is apparently the new drink of the stars in Hollywood which is not the reason I tried it and only found this out recently when Madonna put 1.5 million into a Coconut water brand in the States.

The reason for its amazing health benefits is the electrolytes found in the drink.Electrolytes are vital minerals that the body needs for muscle movement, nerves and brain operation,  coconut water contains 5 essential electrolytes these being, potassium, magnesium, calcium, sodium and phosphorus. Coco Life claims it has more potassium than two banana's. It helps reduce fatigue after exercise as it helps draw water into the cells and into the blood of the body which means it can be used as an alternative to sports drinks. It will prevent your muscles going into spasm and has a laxative effect if you drink too much. Lauric acid, also found in this drink is antibacterial, antiviral and its properties boost the immune.

It too has been known to lower blood pressure, fight cellulite, keep you cool, improve circulation, regulate digestion and ease stomach pain, it has no fat, is low in calories and completely unsweetened therefore a great alternative for kids.

Wow and I just thought it tasted great, seems the oil and the juice have amazing benefits. You can buy this drink from Dischem pharmacies for R11. 95 per bottle.
